01-03-1986 – The Works EP – Sun-Sentinel
There are no better or more entertaining music videos than those produced for the rock group Queen, and Sony has put four of them together in a new Sony Video 45 called The Works (Beta Hi-Fi, VHS Hi Fi or Pioneer Artists laser stereo video disc, under $17). It`s a slickly edited tour through today`s most inventive and energetic music videos, videos that add to the musical experience instead of taking away from it.
Queen`s vocals and instrumentals zoom through some of the slickest visuals ever assembled — images from Fritz Lang`s Metropolis fill Radio Gaga; ballet and housewives make up I Want to Break Free; opera references abound in It`s a Hard Life; Hammer to Fall is a hard-driving, energetic video showcase.
The sound on either tape or disc is extraordinary, equaling anything on record. This Sony Video 45 is a true video-audio marriage in which both picture and sound add a good deal to the whole experience.
